Code of Conduct

Introduction

This company Code of Conduct sets out general principles, and should be read alongside our policies, which are available here

Scope

This Code applies to everyone who provides services for or on behalf of Words of Wonder Ltd, regardless of their status (staff/employee/freelancer/contractor/intern/consultant), role, or tasks conducted.

Expectations

Words of Wonder Ltd expects all personnel to demonstrate the highest levels of professionalism, to contribute to the company objective: produce productions which inform, inspire and delight our audience; through a process that combines meticulous organisation, reliable delivery, warmth and fun to gratify our clients, guests, and partners.

Words of Wonder Ltd is known for, and trusted to provide excellence. We believe that it is worth going the extra mile: work consistently comes to us; we are respected as ethical high performers who do our very best by everyone in our team and network; and we enjoy the good feeling of a job well done.

We have a consistent record of producing work that changes lives and societies, mobilises significant amounts of money ($45m so far) for good causes, and helps to shift the unhelpful, untrue narratives that stand between the world we have and the world we want. Many of our personnel, guests, clients and affiliates have become life-long friends; gone from intern to international professionals; and recommended us for countless assignments.

All personnel are invited to enjoy the high energy, camaraderie and pleasure of being the best in the world at producing content that brings hope, clarity and peace at a time of crisis. To this end, Words of Wonder staff are expected to:

  • Act with respect and integrity towards all personnel, guests, associates and visitors.
  • Act to uphold our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion policy and our Respect at Work Policy, including by assisting any staff member whom you observe to be subjected to unacceptable behaviour through reporting incidences of harrassment, bullying or discrimination; participating in investigations; and offering a kind, caring, supportive presence to the colleague(s) subjected to the unacceptable behaviour.
  • Treat others as you would wish to be treated; showing respect and care to all team members, guests, associates and visitors.
  • Undertake duties with  diligence, integrity and the level of care and attention that demonstrates the highest level of professionalism.
  • Act responsibly with all resources of the company, client or customer; promoting sustainable business activity by avoiding waste or neglect of materials, equipment and other resources.
  • Share your experience, talents, skills, and perspectives, so that you can render the best service to the company and colleagues, and give yourself the best opportunity to thrive and enjoy yourself.
  • Follow guidance and direction; and provide the correct direction and guidance to others where this is part of your duties.
  • Draw attention to any potential errors or situations that may disrupt, damage or delay work or projects.
  • Refrain from any action that may open ourselves or clients to financial risk.
  • Adhere to any policies and procedures issued; these are subject to amendment at any time.
